About

Hey, I am Maurin, born in the 90s, producer and DJ based in Düsseldorf. My sound is characterized by a unique groove and melodic basslines. Due to the deep engagement with bass-heavy, dark sounds each track contains an almost harmonic, as well as dark and driving atmosphere. 

The music already proved to be a great passion in my childhood and so I discovered my talent and tactfulness at an early age by practicing drumming. The musical journey started with early band experiences and contests. The fascination for rhythmic and driving sounds developed continuously from this point on and this is where I started to getting interested in electronic music.

After several years of band experience in a genre that is known by loud and characteristically destructive sounds, my interest grew increasingly in the electronic direction. 

First I started DJ’ing in 2015 and after several gigs and a residency for the Molecular series at the former “Butan” Club I started producing my own music in the late stages of 2016. 

Since then my sound is always developing and evolving. MY productions are not set to a fixed genre as I always love to play with different styles and sounds.

At the moment I am releasing my music through different labels depending on the production

As a DJ I love to set a mood for the night to then start a journey through the deep heart of my music collection. Sometimes it is house, sometimes it is minimal and sometimes it is techno. But I always keep my eye on keeping the flow running.

Equivalence EP

After his great entry into the Amber Family in 2022, Maurin now returns with a terrific 4-track EP on Amber Recordings. Techno in its purest form and absolutely on the pulse of time.

High production standard, cool grooves, sometimes soulful, sometimes hard industrial. There is something for everyone and makes this EP a real highlight. After a few releases on other labels and the resulting expansion of his listenership and the attention of DJs that was drawn to him as a result, he is now back in the Amber Family and will inspire even more than he already has.

Certainly an act to keep an eye on in the future and as always there is nothing else to say but: Welcome back Maurin.

Amphibolit EP

Amber Recordings grows, besides known acts, further with fresh faces and this includes the protagonist for this release and the catalog number 83. He delivers with his “Amphibolit EP” a perfect debut and you could not ask for a better one.
